Attico’s traction home elevator brings
commercial-grade lift engineering into residential spaces. Unlike hydraulic
home lifts, a traction elevator uses a gearless, machine-room-less (MRL) drive
mounted inside the shaft- so there is no separate machine room, no hydraulic
oil, and no large equipment footprint eating into your floor plan.
The motor, controller, and drive components sit compactly at the top or bottom of the hoistway, which means faster installation, a smaller civil footprint, and a noticeably smoother, quieter ride than hydraulic alternatives. It’s the preferred choice for villas, duplexes, and low-to-mid-rise homes across Delhi NCR where both space and ride quality matter.

A traction home elevator is a residential lift that uses a gearless motor and steel ropes (instead of a hydraulic ram) to move the cabin. The drive unit sits inside the shaft, eliminating the need for a separate machine room.
Pricing depends on travel height, number of stops, cabin finish, and site conditions. Contact Attico Elevators for a customized quote based on your home layout.
Traction elevators offer a smoother ride, lower power consumption, and no machine-room requirement. Hydraulic lifts can have a lower upfront cost but typically use more power and need a dedicated machine room or pit space.
Attico’s traction home elevators support up to 6 stops and 18 metres of travel height- suitable for most independent homes, villas, and duplexes.
Every unit includes multi-ray door protection, an automatic rescue device (ARD) for power outages, overload protection, and optional password-based access control.
Because there’s no machine room to construct, traction home elevators are typically faster to install than traditional geared or hydraulic systems- exact timelines depend on shaft readiness and site access.
